Is GoRoga Safe?

Yes! GoRoga is based on decades of scientific research investigating the use of non-invasive brain stimulation to reduce stress.

GoRoga uses an exceptionally small electric current (less than 0.5 milliamps) to gently stimulate the brain. The stimulation feels like a slight tingling sensation on the skin.

The GoRoga device has undergone rigorous electrical safety testing (IEC 62368). The stimulation provided is safe and effective. Less than <1% of users many experience a mild headache, dizziness, nausea, or skin irritation. If this happens, decrease the intensity level of the GoRoga device or turn off the device and remove the patches from the skin. Symptoms will subside quickly.  

We recommend not applying GoRoga to irritated or injured skin.

How does GoRoga work?

GoRoga was designed to restore balance to your nervous system.

GoRoga uses a method known as non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) to deliver a gentle, rhythmic electrical pulse to the brain to trains the nervous system to relax and to become more resilient to stress. The GoRoga device activates your parasympathetic nervous system and helps you to experience restorative sleep, giving your body and mind a chance to recover from severe stress.

Stressful things will always come our way, and we can’t control that, but we can control our reaction, how we adapt to it and grow from it. GoRoga is here to help you do that!

What benefits can I expect? And how soon will I feel them?

GoRoga users should expect less stress within two weeks of consistent daily use. The more consistent you are, the better the results.

GoRoga stimulation patterns are designed to facilitate natural states of relaxation. GoRoga pulses speak the language of the nervous system and are designed to decrease brain activity associated with severe stress, worry, and rumination.

GoRoga works by reducing activity within an area of the brain called the default mode network, which is responsible for worry, rumination, and stressful thoughts. With each GoRoga session, activity in the DMN becomes more quiet leaving you more relaxed, focused, and more centered.

How do I change the electrode pads?

In order to change the electrode pads, just pull lightly on the electrodes until they unsnap from the earhook.

Grab a fresh pair of electrodes from the electrode bag and snap them in directly to the earhooks.

I need more electrodes pads, how do I buy more refills?

Not to worry, you can order more Electrode Pads here.

How can I tell if the device is working?

If the blue indicator light is on 🔵, the device is delivering stimulation and the electrodes have proper contact with the skin behind your ears.

If the red indicator light is on 🔴, make sure that:

  • You have pushed your hair out of the way of the electrodes.
  • The electrodes are adhered to the skin.
  • The earhooks are placed tightly over your ears.
  • The earhook cable is plugged to your GoRoga device and the device is plugged into your cellphone using the provided iOS or android power adapter.

Can I use GoRoga with other apps, or while watching TV / reading a book?

Yes absolutely!

Just open the GoRoga App and start one of the silent timer sessions. The device will then be working on the background while you do your thing.

Without the GoRoga App and the silent timer the device won't work. It's very important that you start a timer so that you can log your session and track your usage.

What should I expect to feel when I use GoRoga? How do I know if the intensity is high enough?

NIBS (Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation) has often been described as a slight buzzing or tingling sensation on the skin. When you first use GoRoga, the feeling may be unfamiliar to you, but it becomes less noticeable over time, and many users say they don’t notice the sensation beyond the first use.

Please note: you don’t have to ‘feel’ the stimulation in order to get great results.

The best results will come from consistent daily use of the device and by setting stimulation intensity to a comfortable level.

If the stimulation is uncomfortable turn it down by adjusting the slider on the device.

The vast majority of users find maximum intensity quite comfortable.

Are GoRoga electrode pads safe for my skin?

The electrodes are made of a medical grade hydrogel and have undergone extensive biocompatability testing. Less than <1% of users report mild skin irritation. Skin irritation typically resolves quickly.

Are there side effects?

Less than 1% of users report a mild, temporary headache, dizziness, nausea, or skin irriation when using the device.

How long will the battery last?

Glad you ask! The GoRoga device doesn’t use any batteries. That’s right, no need for charging or buying extra batteries.

Instead, you just plug the cable directly to your cellphone like a wired headset.

Note: One GoRoga session uses less than 1% battery from a regular cellphone.

Can I charge my phone while using GoRoga?

Unfortunately, no. Please wait until your cellphone is charged in order to use GoRoga.

Should I use GoRoga with wireless headphones?

Yes! GoRoga is meant to be used with your wireless headphones on. Any headphones will work.

*Headphones are not included with the purchase of a GoRoga device.

What if I don’t have wireless headphones?

There are 2 alternatives:

  • You can use your phone speaker to listen to the audio from the GoRoga app.
  • You can send the videos to your apple TV or cast via chromecast.

Is there scientific proof of the benefits?

Yes. GoRoga’s benefits are based on decades of research and through user testing.

User testing of the Roga device shows 90% of participants reporting on average a 50% reduction in stress symptom intensity after using GoRoga daily for 2 weeks.

Studies of the type of non-invasive brain stimulation used in the GoRoga device show an increase in alpha brainwaves, a type of brainwave associated with focused relaxation, after only 20 minutes of use.

Can I use GoRoga if I'm under medical care for anxiety?

The GoRoga device is a wellness device. It is not a medical device. For that reason, always seek the advice of your physician or other licensed healthcare practitioner with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

Is GoRoga FDA cleared?

The GoRoga wearable is a wellness device and does not require FDA approval for sale.

Nonetheless, the GoRoga wearable has been built under rigorous design controls necessary for submission to the FDA. GoRoga Life Inc. meets the Quality System Regulation ISO 13485 manufacturing requirements for medical devices sold in the United States.

How does the GoRoga membership work?

The GoRoga membership includes unlimited access to the latest GoRoga technology, free electrode re-fills, and all GoRoga app features including premium content and stress reports.

All memberships include a 7 days risk-free return policy.

Can I cancel my membership?

If you wish to cancel your membership for a refund, you can do so at any point during the 7 day risk-free return period.

Your membership remains active until the end of the commitment period, at which point you will no longer be billed. Your payments will continue as normal until the commitment period ends.

What happens after my initial membership period ends?

At the end of the commitment period, monthly memberships will automatically renew Monthly.

Can I sleep while wearing GoRoga?

No, Googa was not designed to be worn while sleeping.

GoRoga is worn during the day or before bedtime. It will greatly help with sleep quality as its effects last for hours after a session and build up over time.

What's GoRoga's return policy?

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we offer free returns within 7 days of delivery for a full refund or replacement.

Our Seven (7) Days Return Policy

This return policy applies only to purchases made through www.goroga.in. If you purchased a GoRoga through a third-party marketplace and you are interested in making a return, then please contact that third-party marketplace.

If you are unhappy or unsatisfied with your GoRoga or the services you may cancel your Membership and return your GoRoga for any reason within seven (7) days of activation of your GoRoga for a full refund of the Initial Membership Fee (which will be paid via your original payment method).

In order to receive your refund you must request a return within seven (7) days of activation. The date of activation is the earlier of the date that you first linked your GoRoga to an account using the GoRoga application, or the date that is seven days after you purchased your GoRoga through www.goroga.in.

 

RETURN PROCEDURE

To request a return, please send an email to info@goroga.in.

A return shipping label will be provided to you. Use the shipping label to ship your GoRoga back to us.

Once you have requested your return, you are eligible for a refund of the initial Membership Fee, as long as the GoRoga device is received within Seven (7) days from the date you requested the return. If we do not receive your GoRoga device within Seven (7) days after you request the return, you will not receive a refund.

Again, this GoRoga return policy applies only to purchases made from www.goroga.in.  

Below are instructions on how to return your GoRoga and receive your refund.

If the time period(s) described above have passed, you may still cancel your Membership; however, the cancellation will not go into effect until the end of the initial subscription period. You may discontinue your use of the Membership and Services at any time

What phones and tablets are compatible with GoRoga?

iOS
Our hardware and mobile app are developed, updated, and tested on iOS 13+ devices.

Android
The GoRoga mobile app is supported for smartphones running Android 9 and above.

Tablets
Yes, the mobile app is also available for both iOS and Android tablets.

*Although older devices may be compatible, performance improvements and fixes are not developed specifically for this range of devices.

Does GoRoga work for all Android devices?

Yes, all Android devices are compatible with the GoRoga gadget using the Android phone Adapter. In some rare circumstances, brands like Oppo and Redmi require the OTG connection be enabled in their system settings in order for the GoRoga device to function (Blue light appears).

How do I clean my GoRoga device?

We recommend using an alcohol wipe or soft cloth dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean the surface of the aluminum case of the GoRoga device and the plastic earhooks. Please remove the electrodes if you are going to clean the earhooks. To remove the electrodes, just pull on the electrodes until they unsnap from the earhook.

GoRoga is not waterproof, so avoid submerging it in water.

Please do not wear the GoRoga device in the shower, bath, or while swimming.

Are there any contraindications?

GoRoga Life should not be used in conjunction with any implanted device such as a pacemaker or defibrillator, or used if metal implants are present in the neck or head. Patients with epilepsy should be supervised by a licensed healthcare practitioner. GoRoga should not be used during pregnancy or in individuals under the age of 18.

Will my insurance cover the cost of the device?

Most insurance plans do not currently cover wearable brain stimulation technology, but we are working on expanding coverage.
